First of all, notice how young Chang is in perfect balance. He is facing the Ball in a Square Stance (and not aligned way to the right as are so many 'experienced' players). His Head is in a wonderful position: It is in the center of his Body -- where God put it -- and a line from his chin would fall precisely between his Feet. Speaking of which, his Right Foot is perpendicular to the Line and his Left Foot is toed-out a bit, just as Hogan suggested.
And all you guys who are having a problem getting your Left Thumb on the Aft side of the shaft, check out the photo! Could it possibly be that what he is doing is natural and what you are doing is unnatural?
Also note that the Left Arm Flying Wedge and the Right Forearm Flying Wedge have been beautifully assembled:
-- The Left Arm is Straight; the Left Wrist is Flat; and the Clubshaft is In-Line with the Left Arm. A perfectly assembled Left Arm Flying Wedge.
-- Similarly, the Right Elbow is Bent, as is the Right Wrist, and the Clubshaft is On Plane (or at least very nearly so) with the Right Forearm.
Finally, note that the Clubshaft has a nice Forward Lean for a true Three-Dimensional Impact and the Clubface is aligned slightly Open for Horizontal Hinging.
In short, Zones One, Two and Three -- Body, Arms and Hands -- seem to be well under control at Address and need only to return to these alignments through Impact and Follow-Through. Not so hard after all, is it?
